That amazing, almost mythical whale often called the &lsquo;unicorn of the sea&rsquo; because of its single, long, spiraling tusk? Well, prepare for a little mind-bender, because that isn&rsquo;t actually a horn at all!</p> <p>Nope, it&rsquo;s not a horn like a rhino&rsquo;s, and it&rsquo;s not just a fancy spear for fighting or showing off. This incredible structure, which can grow up to 10 feet long in males (and occasionally in females too!), is actually an <em>enlarged, elongated canine tooth</em>. Yeah, a tooth! Imagine one of your own teeth just decided to keep growing and growing until it poked out of your lip and became this magnificent, spiraling sword. Wild, right?</p>
